Gustavo Dudamel’s Big Send-Off: As part of his “Celebrating Gustavo at the Bowl” series—honoring his legendary run before he departs to lead the New York Philharmonic—the Hollywood Bowl announced a landmark collaboration. Iconic norteño act Los Tigres del Norte will perform alongside Dudamel for a massive cultural cross-over dubbed “Gustavo’s Fiesta.”

John Juan Mendez, the LA-based techno DJ and producer known as Silent Servant, died from the effects of fentanyl, cocaine, ketamine, and ethanol.

He died with two others at around the same time and place.

Mendez’s partner Simone Ling (Parallel Distortion) died from the effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and ethanol.

Musician Luis Vasquez (The Soft Moon) died from the effects of fentanyl, cocaine, ketamine, and ethanol.

This is considered a mass-overdose event.
