(L.A.) Daniel Wherrett, 57, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Daniel Wherrett.

Cause of Death: Effects of Alprazolam and Ethanol

RIP DANIEL WHERRETT (July 8, 1968 – March 28, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was known as DJ Dan.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late June, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, substance overdose.
