vehicular fire

Uncontrolled burning and combustion of a car, truck, or other motor vehicle, often originating in the engine compartment due to electrical short circuits, fluid leaks onto hot surfaces, or mechanical failures.

Fire breaks out in a vehicle that crashes when the impact ruptures critical systems, such as the high-voltage battery in an electric car or the fuel tank in a conventional one. This damage can create electrical shorts, spill flammable liquids, or cause a chemical reaction that leads to intense, fast-spreading flames and the release of toxic smoke.
