The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. at the 105/605 interchange in Norwalk.
* It later was revealed that they were initially hit by a CHP patrol car, whose driver removed the vehicle without deploying flares or warning lights. They were in effect stranded like sitting ducks. Seven minutes later, the drunk driver ended up killing the four.
UPDATE: In March 16: A former CHP officer and the other driver were charged in this four-death DUI collision — Angelo Rodriguez and Iris Salmeron.
