The decedent was a passenger who was killed when he was ejected from a vehicle that hit a utility pole in the Mid-Wilshire area on Sunday.
The crash occurred at 8:15 p.m. by the corner of La Brea Avenue and Edgewood Place.
Pecina was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was 20 years old.
