(L.A.) Jose Solis, 73, Died on the 605 Fwy

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old Latino male that occurred on the 605 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Solis.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Inhalation of Products of Combustion and Thermal Injuries

Interstate 605 North / Slauson Avenue Off-Ramp

CHP first received the call about this incident at 9:04 p.m. It was a four-door sedan fully engulfed in flames on the off-ramp.

Bystanders tried but could not perform any rescue.

The vehicle would eventually be towed away as evidence.

Lanes weren’t cleared until around 12:42 a.m.
