(L.A.) Jasmine Miranda, 24, Died in Palmdale
Case Number: 2025-11402
Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old female that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Jasmine Miranda.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma to the Head with Multiple Thermal Injuries
RIP JASMINE MIRANDA ( July 16, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
The decedent was a nose-ringed mother who got herself and her three-year-old daughter killed in a fiery rollover crash at 2:00 in the morning.
The single-vehicle crash happened on 30th Street West south of Avenue N.
CHP said the woman was driving north on West 30th in a 2010 Infiniti when it veered off the road. The front right wheel hit a drainage culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire as it struck a curb and a light pole.
“The vehicle came to rest on the northeast corner of the intersection, fully engulfed in flames,” a CHP news release stated.
Because of her charred remains, it could not be determined what her blood alcohol level was or if drugs were present in her system. Severe burning alters or destroys biological tissues and fluids needed for such testing. Postmortem toxicology of fire victims often depends on the availability and condition of less affected specimens such as vitreous humor, urine, or certain tissues. Sometimes even these samples are compromised due to heat exposure.
