Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Black male.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Roderick Ingram.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP RODERICK INGRAM (April 26, 1982 – October 14, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:37 p.m.

The decedent was fatally hit by a vehicle while he was crossing a street in the Compton area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 7:28 p.m. at Rosecrans Avenue at Avalon Boulevard.

There is no vehicle description.
