Aniah Blanchard

Aniah Blanchard was the 19-year-old student kidnapped and murdered by career criminal Ibraheem Yazeed.

Blanchard went missing on October 23, 2019.

Her remains were found on the morning of November 25 (Monday) in a wooded area in Macon County, Alabama.

Surveillance cameras and an eyewitness supplied information that led police to believe that Yazeed abducted Blanchard outside a convenience store in Montgomery County, Alabama.

Yazeed was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Florida on November 7. He has been booked on a kidnapping charge.

A second suspect — Squirmey Fisher, who is believed to have provided transportation support during the crime — was arrested on November 22 (Friday); he was also charged with kidnapping in the first degree.

Blanchard’s body was found on November 25 (Monday). It was determined by the coroner that she died from a gunshot wound. Yazeed was additionally charged with capital murder on December 2, 2019.
