(L.A.) William Reed, 44, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as William Reed.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Congestive Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Arteriosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine; History of Chronic Kidney Disease Stage IV and Anemia

RIP WILLIAM REED (April 25, 1980 – May 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:25 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 11, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
