Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Mark Abasta.
Height: 5 feet 9 inches / Weight: 190 pounds
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Hanging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 1:01 a.m.
The decedent was arrested on September 15, 2021, by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies for the following:
- 11550(A) – Use/Under Influence Controlled Substance
- 10851(A) – Take Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent
