(L.A.) Rodney Greene, 58, Died From a Coke OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Rodney Greene.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease and Medical History of Hypertension

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 3:54 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
