Case Number: 2024-01026

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Thomas Ramsey Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Ethanol

RIP THOMAS RAMSEY JR. (March 12, 1988 – January 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:44 p.m.

On February 3, the government investigator added “Jr.” to the name and changed the time of death from 4:44 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 27, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental overdose.

The decedent was one of four individuals found dead at a house in Palmdale.

Paramedics from the county fire department arrived at the 37500 block of 17th Street East at around 4:30 p.m. regarding a report about men with medical complications.

“There were obvious signs they had been deceased for a while,” Chris Reynoso, a spokesman for the fire department, told the Los Angeles Times.

NBC4 reported that a neighbor told the station that three of the four men were related.

The Times reported two of the victims were found in the home’s backyard and two were inside the house.
