(L.A.) Jesus Torres Jr., 43, Died in a Prison/Correctional Facility

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Latino male that occurred in a prison/correctional facility.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jesus Torres Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Cardiomyopathy, Not Otherwise Classified

RIP JESUS TORRES JR. (March 7, 1981 – April 26, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 4:24 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
