Lamotrigine is an anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer commonly used to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder. It is also used off label for unipolar depression (major depressive disorder) and depersonalization-derealization disorder.

One of its side effects is increasing the risk of suicidal ideation.
