(L.A.) Eduardo Cruz, 18, Died on the 710 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Latino male.
The coroner’s office has identified the individual as Eduardo Cruz.

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:30 a.m.
The decedent was among FIVE people killed in an early-morning crash on the 710 Freeway.
The single-vehicle crash was reported at 4:12 a.m. on the northbound 710 at the transition to the southbound 91 Freeway.
The black Hyundai Sonata crashed into plastic cylinders protecting a divider separating the northbound 710 Freeway lanes and a ramp to the eastbound 91 Freeway. After impact, the car briefly flew into the air before bursting into flames..
A sixth person in the car was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
At least four of the car’s occupants were not wearing seatbelts, and a few may have been ejected after the impact.
