Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hot tub.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as David Daneault.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Probable Drowning

Other Significant Conditions: Methamphetamine, Phencyclidine, MDMA Effects

RIP DAVID DANEAULT (June 9, 1957 – June 22, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:19 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 5, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

“Probable” as an adjective for drowning… The decent’s body was probably released without differentiating between a death by submersion and an immersion of a body. In any case, having those drugs in one’s system helped in bringing about the demise.
