Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gerald Petersen.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, History of Chronic Tobacco Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:13 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 26, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth. This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
