(L.A.) Yesenia Rodriguez Cruz, 29, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Yeseia Rodriguez Cruz [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:55 a.m.

On February 28, the government investigator posted this as Jane Doe #69. The decedent was identified by name only on March 1.

The Department of Medical Examiner also seems to have misspelled the decedent’s forename as Yeseia.

Yesenia Rodriguez-Cruz and her cousin Heidy Lopez-Cruz died in the crash on the Calzona Street on-ramp to the northbound 5 Freeway.

Yesenia was the mother of two children, ages 7 and 10. Heidy leaves behind a 2-year-old.

A third person killed in the accident was a family friend, 19-year-old Eden Jimenez Sanchez.
