(L.A.) Heidy Lopez-Cruz, 19, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a vehicle.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Heidy Lopez-Cruz.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:55 a.m.
The decedent was one of three people killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Boyle Heights.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:45 a.m. on the northbound freeway near the Calzona Street off-ramp, where a black SUV struck the right shoulder wall and then caught fire.
Heidy Lopez-Cruz and her cousin Yesenia Rodriguez-Cruz died in the crash on the Calzona Street on-ramp to the northbound 5 Freeway.
Yesenia was the mother of two children, ages 7 and 10. Heidy leaves behind a 2-year-old. They perished on scene.
The third person who was killed was a family friend, 19-year-old Eden Jimenez Sanchez. He was transported to a hospital, where he died.
