(L.A.) Toccara Anderson, 39, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Black female that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Toccara Anderson.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Pulmonary Embolism

Cause of Death B: Deep Vein Thrombosis of Lower Extremities

Cause of Death C: Leiomyomatous Uterus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

A leiomyomatous uterus means there are one or more non-cancerous growths called “leiomyomas” or “fibroids” inside the muscle wall of the uterus.

Uterine leiomyomas can cause symptoms like abdominal pain, heavy periods, or a feeling of pressure.
