Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Tashi Saxton.

Cause of Death: Cholangiocarcinoma

Cholangiocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in the bile ducts.

A bile duct is a small tube that carries bile, a digestive fluid made by the liver. The liver produces bile, the gallbladder stores and concentrates it, and the bile duct transports it into the first part of the small intestine when it is needed for digestion.
