clonazepam

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine medication primarily used for the treatment of seizure disorders and panic disorder. It is known for its high potency and long-acting effects.

Long-term use of clonazepam can lead to physical dependence, with withdrawal symptoms potentially severe if the medication is discontinued abruptly.

Clinical studies indicate that approximately 1 in 500 individuals taking anticonvulsants like clonazepam may experience suicidal thoughts or actions. These symptoms can manifest as early as one week after initiating treatment.

Out of over 160,000 death records made public by the county’s medical examiner since 1999, clonazepam has been mentioned only about 105 times, mostly in the contenxt of accidental drug overdoses and suicides.
