Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old White/Caucasian female that occurred at her residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Olesia Vasileva.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Ligature Hanging

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:55 p.m.
The decedent was a Russian-born programmer with a university degree obtained in Saint Petersburg.

We’ve already had at least two other confirmed Russian-born residents commit suicide this month. Another Russian-born woman took her own life in March. Other relevant cases have been Russians/Ukrainians/Belarusians dying from drug overdoses.
After Koreans, it’s the Russian/Ukrainian/Belarusian demographic group who commit the most suicides per capita in Los Angeles County.
