Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a halfway house.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Kelly.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP MICHAEL KELLY (April 5, 1984 – March 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:14 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug. This was an accidental overdose.
