Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 77-year-old Black male that occurred at a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Knox.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Intracerebral Stroke

Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cerebrovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Coronary Artery Disease; Gout

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:14 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 16, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
