Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Caucasian female who passed away in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Flora Martirosian.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death A: Sequelae of Intraabdominal Bleeding and Sepsis following Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Clinical
Cause of Death B: Acute and Chronic Cholecystitis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 11:54 p.m.
Cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gallbladder.
The decedent was a famous Armenian folk singer. Ֆլորա Արտաշեսի Մարտիրոսյան
She moved to the United States in 1991, but returned to Armenia in 1995.
Complications from her surgery in L.A. County tragically resulted in her death.
It didn’t help that her health was compromised by obesity.
