(L.A.) Tammie Hicks, 49, Died in an Abandoned Building

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic female who was found in an abandoned building in Lynwood.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Tammie Hicks.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP TAMMIE HICKS (April 8, 1975 – April 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:20 p.m.

Sheriff’s Department deputies had been called at 10:41 p.m. to the 3600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Imperial Highway.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on June 3, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
