RIP EUQUENI SADOVOI (February 1, 1969 – December 26, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 3:23 p.m.
The spelling of the surname as Sadovoi is associated with the country of Ukraine, though the decedent could well have been a Sadovoy from Russia. His forename Euqueni seems to be a variation of Eugene or Yevgeny.

Statistically speaking, for the past five years or so, Russians and Belarusians in Southern California have been way more likely to die from suicides and alcohol poisoning than from accidental deaths due to drug intoxication. Cases of Russian/Belarusian deaths that pass through deferred status usually end up being ruled as suicides via some substance like carbon monoxide. In contrast, Ukrainians more often die from drug abuse.
