(L.A.) Edi Acosta Lopez, 32, Died on a Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Edi Acosta Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP EDI ACOSTA LOPEZ (September 10, 1991 – February 13, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
