(L.A.) Diego De Brouwer, 21, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old male that occurred in the ocean.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Diego De Brouwer and listed his race/ethnicity as Latino.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Drowning

Other Significant Condition: Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:16 a.m.

The medical examiner initially posted the decedent’s surname as one word — DeBrouwer.

We have no idea who exactly drove him to commit suicide because as a rule we do not request case details. Now, however, we’ve been given reason to look into it and do a full write-up.
