(L.A.) Christopher Matthews, 41, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Christopher Matthews.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: Dilated Cardiomyopathy

RIP CHRISTOPHER MATTHEWS (March 1, 1983 – December 11, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 8:01 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
