Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 73-year-old “Middle Eastern” male that occurred in a hotel/motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Bert Tolbert. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Spencer.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Not sure why the ME/C listed the decedent as Middle Eastern when he seemed to be Caucasian. There have been a few instances in the past when a coroner-investigator decided to classify Caucasian-looking Jews as Middle Eastern.
