(L.A.) Anthony Reed, 65, Died in a Park

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Black male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Anthony Reed.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Phencyclidine, and Ethanol Toxicity

RIP ANTHONY REED (June 7, 1959 – April 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:50 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polysubstance overdose.
