Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence in Lakewood.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Hector Alfaro.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Intraoral Gunshot Wound

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent shot two women dead before putting the gun into his mouth.

Three people ended up dead from a shooting incident in the 5800 block of Lorelei Avenue.

LASD was informed at around 7:53 a.m.

On a Thursday morning in Lakewood, California, a 19-year-old woke up to gunshots in her own home. Her father—52-year-old Hector Alfaro—had already killed her mother and 17-year-old sister. Now he was coming for her. He aimed. He fired. He missed. Twice. Those two misses are the only reason she’s alive today.
