(L.A.) Tyler Williams, 28, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Tyler Williams.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Other Significant Condition: Bromazolam and Mitragynine Effects

RIP TYLER WILLIAMS (May 16, 1996 – August 25, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:15 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Mitragynine is the most abundant active alkaloid in the Southeast Asian plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as kratom.
