Novak Vujošević
Novak Vujošević is the hero of the Battle of Fundina, which took place in the year 1876 in a village in Kuči, Principality of Montenegro. He was an Eastern Orthodox Christian.
The Christian Montenegrin Army had about 5,000 troops.
The Muslim Ottomans had about 40,000 troops.
Novak Vujošević was the biggest hero of the battle, killing 28 enemy soldiers; he later received an award from the Russian emperor.
Novak Vujošević was one of the names written by Christchurch gunman Brenton Tarrant on the bullet clips he used in the New Zealand Mosque massacre.
The shooter wrote the names of famous historical figures who had defended their homelands from Muslim Ottoman invaders.
These photos were apparently uploaded by Brenton Tarrant himself to his Twitter account, which was opened in February. Most of the photos were uploaded on March 12. The account was suspended within a few hours of the shooting making the news.
Tarrant wrote a few of the names and battle locations using the Cyrillic alphabet, which was developed in the 9th–10th century for Slavic-speaking peoples of the Eastern Orthodox faith. It is currently used for more than 50 languages, including Bulgarian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Macedonian, Montenegrin (spoken in Montenegro; also called Serbian), Russian, Serbian, and Uzbek.
