Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas Shooter
LATEST: The shooter’s brother Bruce Paddock was arrested on October 25 for possession of child porn. This brother is different from Eric Paddock, who was interviewed on television in the days immediately following the shooting.
Stephen “Craig” Paddock is the shooter responsible for the Las Vegas massacre Sunday night.
His identity was guessed by reporters when listeners of police scanners heard the name of his friend Marilou Danley mentioned by authorities as a person of interest.
Internet sleuths were referring to them as “roommates” because according to publicly available records, Stephen Paddock (64 years old) and Marilou Danley (aged 62) live at the same address.
1372 Babbling Brook Ct, Mesquite, Nevada
A total of 59 people were killed by Paddock, and hundreds more are critically injured.
The shooter opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay toward a concert happening across the street. He continued shooting for between nine and 11 minutes. Police stormed his room at around 10:17 pm. By then, Paddock had killed himself.
Confusion reigned as the shots rang out in the middle of Jason Aldean’s performance at the Route 91 Harvest three-day music festival, which was having its final night.
Soon after the massacre occurred, video clips such as the one below have started appearing on Twitter, where speculation in rampant that Stephen Paddock is against the current administration in Washington.
And then there are people sincerely asking why he had the number 13 tattooed on his neck. Do you see it?
The woman, by the way, is definitely NOT Marilou Danley.
* It was later revealed that he was using a “bump stock” to mimic automatic fire from semi-automatic weapons.
