Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Scott Johnson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP SCOTT JOHNSON (September 9, 1968 – February 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
