(L.A.) Santos Reyes Gaytan, 40, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Santos Reyes Gaytan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus

RIP SANTOS REYES GAYTAN (August 14, 1983 – November 14, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:09 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 26, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
