Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 52-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Rudy Mata.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Phencyclidine

RIP RUDY MATA (February 26, 1972 – August 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:18 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on December 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
