(L.A.) Rochelle Cummings, 69, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Rochelle Cummings.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Effects

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
