(L.A.) Robert Webster, 58, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Webster.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Mixed Drug Toxicity (Ethanol with Probable Amlodipine, Atorvastatin, and Verapamil)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:16 p.m.

Amlodipine is in a class of medications called calcium channel blockers. It lowers blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels.

Verapamil is a calcium channel blocker medication used for the treatment of high blood pressure, angina (chest pain from not enough blood flow to the heart), and supraventricular tachycardia.
