Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Patrick Shackelford.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Subdural Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Blunt Head Trauma

Other Significant Conditions: Acute Alcohol Intoxication; Chronic Ethanol Liver Cirrhosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 2:09 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 20, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.
