Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 100-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Oron Kirkby of Sierra Madre, California.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound Of The Head

The decedent was a doctor. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth M. Kirkby in 2013.

Sierra Madre is a city in L.A. County. It is in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley below the southern edge of the Angeles National Forest. Pasadena and Altadena are to its west, with Arcadia to its south and east.
