Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Nicholas Menza.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Hypertensive and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP NICHOLAS MENZA (July 23, 1964 – May 21, 2016)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 10:38 p.m.

This was either a heart attack (myocardial infarction) or cardiac arrest.

The decedent was Nick Menza, the drummer of the thrash metal band Megadeth from 1989 to 1998.
