(L.A.) Matthew Stevens, 36, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Matthew Stevens.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Alprazolam Intoxication

Other Significant Conditions: Cardiomyopathy, Not Otherwise Classified

RIP MATTHEW STEVENS (February 8, 1989 – March 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 8:31 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 25, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
