(L.A.) Luis Rivas, 59, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Luis Rivas.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Probable Myocardial Infartction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Heart Disease

RIP LUIS RIVAS (May 25, 1966 – August 25, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in mid-September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
