Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Black male that occurred at a room and board.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Kenneth Douver.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Pulmonary Thromboembolism

Other Significant Condition: Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:54 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on October 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.

Room and board refers to a living arrangement where a person is provided with both accommodation and meals in exchange for payment, labor, or other considerations.
