(L.A.) Karanvir Singh, 34, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old Asian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Karanvir Singh.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds to the Torso

RIP KARANVIR SINGH (October 14, 1988 – October 8, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:15 p.m.

The decedent was fatally attacked by two shoplifters when he confronted them while he was working in a store in West Covina.

A 17-year-old boy has since been arrested in connection.

The incident happened at Big Bob’s Liquor & Market convenience store on Puente and Sunset avenues, according to the West Covina Police Department.

Singh had a wife and a 12-year-old son in India, whom he was planning to bring over to America next year.
